"Do you know" said Jim to his brother Jack, "our ages added together total 48, and right now I am twice as old as you were when I was half as old as you will be when you are three times as old as I was when I was three times as old as you?"
"Well," Jack replied, "Surely anyone can now work out how long ago it was when I was half your age."

I heard a paperboy talking about deliveries in Acacia Avenue. From these clues can you work out who lives at what number, which paper they have delivered and what colour their front door is?
Mary, who had a green front door took the Telegraph.
No. 3 had a blue door and took the Mirror.
Susan lived at No. 4 or No. 5
The Sun wasn't delivered to the house with the white door or to the bungalow numbered 1.
Peter took the Mirror or the Times.
John's house had a higher number that the property with the red door.
